Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What to expect During

Q: How often should I be
adjusted?
A: The frequency at which you should have your spine checked is different
for every person. It will depend on the health of your nerves and how much
spinal damage is present. The more often nerve pressure can be removed,
however, the faster the body will heal. A specific plan of care will be
tailored to your individual needs.
Q: Do adjustments hurt?
A: Not usually. Adjustments generally feel good. Sometimes, however, when a
person is already in severe pain, or there is a significant amount of spinal
degeneration present, some discomfort might be felt during the adjustment
itself. Ordinarily, this sensation disappears shortly afterward as the nerve
irritation is reduced. Every effort will be made to make your chiropractic
experience as comfortable as possible.
Q: Is it bad to "crack" my own back?
A: This is something you should never do, nor should you ever let anyone
except a trained professional attempt to adjust your spine. The proper
relationship between the vertebrae and nerves is important to your health
and should be taken seriously. Anyone can push on someone's back and make
noise, but it takes years of training to know where to adjust, where not to
adjust, in what direction, and when.
Q: How long will it take
to fix the problem?
A: We perform a detailed and thorough analysis of the problem to evaluate
how long it's been there, how severe it is, and how much degeneration
(damage build-up) is present. Along with physical factors unique to each
individual, we can determine the approximate length of corrective care for
your recommendation.
Q: Once you have
Chiropractic adjustments, do you have to keep going?
A: Of course not -- especially in our office. Our office policy has always
been founded on choice. Our practice members are offered symptom care,
corrective care, or maintenance care for their particular problem. People
choose for themselves and we always respect the decision they make.
Q: What if I'm not sure if Chiropractic
will help me?
A: Dr. Tashakor offers a free Consultation and Evaluation in his office,
and if he thinks that we can't help you then he will let you know and refer
you to one of the many physicians we work with, but if chiropractic can
help, he will explain what treatment and how long. At this point its
up to you to decide.
We Understand that they may be other
questions we have not answered, and if so, then please
contact us and we
will try to answer you questions.
